We are excited to be a participating provider of Harvard Pilgrim’s new acupuncture coverage.  We know that having insurance coverage of up to twenty visits per year will make integrating acupuncture into your healthcare team an easier choice for many. This is exciting news for all us. Please contact your insurance company to verify that you have the new acupuncture coverage in your own policy. Since this is so new, let your friends know in case their acupuncture may be covered by this new plan. A growing trend in health care is to offer some form of participation with integrative medical therapies. Selected insurance companies give partial or full coverage for some of our services while others are offering discount programs.

Health coverage is changing at a dynamic pace. To be sure of your financial responsibilities it is best to contact your own insurance carrier or our office for clarification of your potential benefits for any of our services.

Patients Without Insurance for Services at Our Clinic

• All services are rendered on a pay-as-you-go basis. This means that you are expected to pay for services on the day that the care is given.
• You may pay by cash, check, or credit card. Please check with your health care provider for accepted forms of payment.
• If you have a specific problem in this area, please discuss this with your health care provider.

Patients With Insurance Coverage for Services at Our Clinic

Private or Group Health Insurance. If your policy provides coverage for services at our clinic, we will assist you in receiving reimbursement. You are expected to pay for services on the day that care is given. We will provide receipts for all services rendered and assist you in submitting them to your insurance carrier. If we decide to accept payment from your insurance carrier, we will need to verify your coverage prior to your first visit. If we have not received your insurance information in time to verify your coverage before your first visit, you will be responsible for payment at the time of service.

Worker's Compensation. FirstHealth of Andover reserves the right to accept or decline treatment of  each individual's claim on a case-by-case basis.

In order to insure coverage, your injury must be reported to your employer within 48 hours of the injury. We must have your employer information and be able to verify your coverage before we accept assignment.
