Homeopathy vs. Antibiotics
Millennium Medicine
We all heard the old
saying out of the mouths of babes. I had a great
experience while lecturing at the Andover High
School this month (details below). A student had
listened to about 15 minutes of my presentation when
he said, "You mean you help us put our body's
attention on an illness so we can heal ourselves?" I
just stared at him and said with a growing smile,
"That's exactly right." He had grasped a concept
that is thousands of years old, and at the same time
being rediscovered today.
Strengthening our immune
systems and reducing the stresses in our body, mind
and spirit is the key to experiencing continued
health and joy in our lives. The medicines of our
new millennium will stress the importance of
creating an alliance between our mind and body. I
believe that improving our overall health is the
best way to effectively treat most illnesses,
especially chronic conditions that continue to
disrupt our lives and limit our potential.
As we near a new
century, enjoy the alternative medicines that are
not so alternative anymore. And please include a
smile everyday in your personal prescription for
health.
Homeopathy vs.
Antibiotics
Chronic respiratory
illness usually spreads from one to another at work
and school during the upcoming months. Treating
these colds and coughs can become a full-time job
for a family. The following study is one of the
first that compares the effectiveness of
homeopathics vs. low dose antibiotic, a common
strategy in today's conventional medicine. There is
a choice. In my experience, early treatment is key
to success. The study was done on pigs that are very
close to our metabolisms and also in close quarters
like our cubicles and classrooms.
Homeopathy vs. Antibiotics in Metaphylaxis of
Infectious Diseases
(Alternative Therapies, September 1999, Vol. 5 No.5)
- Content:
Due to the conditions of modern industrial pig
fattening in intensive livestock farms, 24% to 69%
of the animals become ill. The antibiotic
metaphylaxis that is routinely administered leads
to several problems in animals, human health, and
the environment.
- Objective:
To investigate whether a homeopathic metaphylaxis
is effective and potentially useful for replacing
antibiotic metaphylaxis.
- Results:
Homeopathic metaphylaxis is significantly
effective compared with placebo and routine
low-dose antibiotic metaphylaxis for incidence of
disease and rate of disease of the respiratory
tract among the animals studied.
Let the drama stay on
TV.
