Toss the scales. The way your clothes
fit is a better indication of your weight than the
dreaded scale. Muscle burns 35 calories/lb
compared to fat which burns 2 calories/lb. You may
not lose as much weight, but you'll replace fat
with muscle, and how your clothes fit will reflect
your progress.
Fat free can cost a lot. Fat-free foods
often have an abundance of carbohydrates (sugars).
If you don't use all the sugar energy up by
exercising the same day, the extra sugar will
eventually be stored in your body as fat.
Jump start your metabolism. Acupuncture
and herbs can often rebalance a sluggish digestive
system. Improve function, eat less, but more
frequently. This keeps your metabolism active all
day.
