Find an Exercise You Enjoy
My wife and I have been
enjoying mountain biking and trail running. We try
and plan as many joint exercises sessions as we can
during the week to help motivate each other. This
winter we plan to add snow shoeing to our
activities. Find anything you enjoy that keeps you
moving. Toss the scales. The way your clothes fit is
a better indication of your weight than the dreaded
scale
Muscle burns 35 calories/lb compared to fat which
burns 2 calories/lb. You may not lose as much
weight, but you'll replace fat with muscle, and how
your clothes fit will reflect your progress. Fat
free can cost a lot. Fat-free foods often have an
abundance of carbohydrates (sugars). If you don't
use all the sugar energy up by exercising the same
day, the extra sugar will eventually be stored in
your body as fat. Jump start your metabolism.
Acupuncture and herbs can often rebalance a sluggish
digestive system. Improve function, eat less, but
more frequently. This keeps your metabolism active
all day.
