Bethesda, June 30 (Reuters Health) - Positron
emission tomography (PET) and functional magnetic
resonance imaging (MRI) are the latest tools
researchers are using to track the neurologic
effects of acupuncture.
According to Dr. Zang-Hee Cho of the University of
California at Irvine, PET and MRI have demonstrated
cortical involvement following acupuncture and will
help put a more scientific face on the age-old
technique.
